ある日突然
友人である東洋一のファニーガール、マッキーが
イリオモテヤマネコに癒されたいの
と言い出し本日より
赤い花嬉しい沖縄へと一人旅に出かけて行ったのですが
沖縄といえば私も大好きで
夢屋をオープンする直前
風呂屋の受付のバイトを半年間していた頃に
月に３度、２ヵ月で５度
訪れたことがあり必ず４泊５日の旅となり
そんなに休ませてくれるような甘いバイト先ではなかったので
今思えばばれにばれていたでしょうが
当時は完全犯罪だと信じて疑わず
恋する沖縄へと通っていたのですが私の沖縄旅行とは
それは沖縄本島から一歩も出ず
海に入ったこともなく、
一度だけ入りましたがエンジョイしすぎて洋服のままでしたし
海の近くにある宮本亜門の家は見に行きましたが
当時沖縄に住んでいた沖縄女が行きたくないねん
と言ってひめゆりの塔にも連れていってくれなかったし
ほかの観光地も全くで唯一原付を借りて行った
地元の人も観光客も来ない人っこ一人いない庭園でひとり
その庭園をスケッチしたくらいで
沖縄女の職場の人が連れていってくれたベースが
思い出深い経験となりましたが
沖縄女の家にはドライヤーがなく
女の子の家にドライヤーがないとは
どうやってヘアーをドライしているのか小首を傾げるばかりで
思い出されるのは毎夜
記憶をなくさせる初めて飲んだ泡盛と褐色の肌
そして赤い太陽それから
それから驚く程狭いユニットバス、
沖縄では湯舟がほとんどないらしく
沖縄女の家は特別狭かったのでトイレにシャワーがついてるだけで
いつも湿っているトイレットペーパーもとっても印象的だった
けれどこれだけでもじゅうぶんなくらい
大好きな魅力的な沖縄へと
イリオモテヤマネコを捕まえてくる
と言い私に
イリオモテヤマネコを捕まえたらマッキーも捕まるヨ
と変な駄洒落のようなことを私に言わせ旅立ったマッキーなんて
喰われてしまえばいいのに
